Ariela Lack, counselor for kids and young adult women

Hi, I’m Ariela

As a therapist specializing in helping children, parents, and young adult women, I recognize the unique challenges each group faces.

Therapy for Children

For children aged 7 to 11, struggles with self-esteem, sadness, friendships, and school can be overwhelming. They may retreat inward when distressed, making it hard for parents to connect. Moreover, the burden of worrying excessively about others’ opinions can drown out their voices. Parents, while supportive, often find themselves unsure of how best to help.

In my practice, I specialize in Play Therapy and Child-Centered approaches, offering a safe environment for children to explore their emotions and experiences while also having fun.

Therapy for Parents

I provide parent training to equip caregivers with practical strategies for nurturing their child’s emotional well-being. Together, we can guide your child through their challenges and foster healthy coping mechanisms. I draw from multiple parenting frameworks, including Positive Discipline, and incorporate research from developmental psychology to provide you with a deeper understanding of the “why” behind your kids’ behavior and how to strengthen your relationship.

Therapy for Young Adult Women

Similarly, many young women aged 18 to 25 feel a desire to seek therapy but may struggle with knowing how to begin helping themselves. Described as loving, kind, and sensitive, they often grapple with surface-level relationships and disconnection from their emotions and bodies. My focus is on supporting young women as they navigate significant life transitions, whether it’s entering college, embarking on a career, or facing other major changes. Together, we’ll collaborate on goals such as developing coping skills for anxiety, enhancing self-esteem, and processing past traumas or life events that may have been overlooked as traumatic. My approach is rooted in compassion, empowerment, and the belief that every individual has the potential to become their best self.
